DAY 01: DEPARTURE
You will be proceeding to Kandy which will take approximately 4-hour drive to reach the destination where you will be getting a cycling experiences. This destination is situated 116 kilometers away from Colombo.
The drizzle subsides, cobalt-blue skies reveal a city of imposing colonial-era and Kandyan architecture, none more impressive than the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism's most sacred shrines.
You will start the cycling trail in front of the Ceylon Tea Museum and you will cycle through the Hanthana Tea plantation. It is medium hard level cycling trail and gravel terrain. En-route you can experience Tea picking and Tea planters living style. You will visit to Tea planters’ village and Chief tea worker’s wife greet you true smile with traditional way. You will taste traditional planters snack “Wade” at her house with hot tea. You will experience traditional hospitality, custom of the people.
If you reach to planters’ village during the Hindu Temple blessing time you will get bless from Hindu priest. After the village experience you will ride back to the Ceylon Tea Museum. It is not just cycling ride over the hills and it is exploring nature, stunning landscapes, beautiful Hanthana mountain range, culture, custom of Hindu’s and tasty snack “Wade” Total distance 40 – 45 Km and 3 – 4 hrs.
